Tap Tap Revenge

Posted by Admin on September 27, 2008 at 12:09 pm

Tap Tap Revenge is a game for the iPod Touch and the iPhone, the game is available in the App Store for FREE! Tap Tap Revenge is a music game, you play thru the song and see how many points you can get, unlike Guitar Hero you can’t “Fail” a song, but you can get negative points. There are notes coming at you on the screen, your goal is to tap the corresponding color at the bottom of the screen as soon as the note passes the line at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes you will see arrows coming at you, tilt the device to the side the arrow points to. Here is a screenshot of the game play.

Single Player Mode

The game offers one and two player modes, the two player mode is actually quite good, at first it’s a little awkward but then you get used to it. There are also available songs to download, but the library of songs isn’t that big. The game also features four difficulties levels, Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme. Each difficulty level has different songs, which is a plus. There also is a Play Tutorial which teaches you how to play the game. Overall this game is great for its price, I recommend you check it out you got nothing to loose. Thanks for reading!

Cube Runner

Posted by Admin on September 14, 2008 at 10:25 am

Today I was looking at some apps in the App Store, and I ran across a really cool app called Cube Runner. I downloaded it and as soon as I launched it, it reminded me of a game I had played about a year ago. I looked it up on the internet and found out the flash game was called Cube Field.

Cube Field is a very addicting game; the main point of the game is to not get hit by the cubes, as you try to finish the level. The controls are simple; use the arrow keys to control the plane like thing. You can play the game here.

Now Cube Runner is the iPod Touch/iPhone version of the game. The game is 100% FREE in the App Store. The game uses the accelerometer that’s build in the iPod Touch and iPhone, like Crash Bandicoot and Super Monkey Ball. You turn the iPod Touch to the side that you want to go. There are 3 difficulties, Easy, Medium, and Hard.

That’s all there is to the game, simple but fun and addicting. I highly recommend you check out the game, for the price its well worth it. Thanks for reading!

iPod Touch Review

Posted by Admin on September 7, 2008 at 15:08 pm

As some of you might know from my twitter posts, I got an iPod Touch. As soon as I got home I installed the 2.0.2 software update, and bought some great apps from the App Store. After 3 days of use I decided to do a review on it, so here we go.

The iPod Touch is a great device; it features a 3.5″ multi-touch screen, Wi-Fi, and now many great apps. I will start with the design, absolutely great. This thing is so thin for what it can do, I like the fact than there are only 2 buttons, and the rest is a touch screen. One thing I don’t like is the back; I mean it looks cool but scratches easily. Overall the design is great. Now the apps, as many of you know the App Store launched along with the 2.0 software update for iPhone and iPod Touch, there are many free apps and many paid apps. The basic ones like Mail, Google Maps, Notes, Clock, Calendar, Contacts, You Tube, etc. come with every iPod and can’t be removed. My personal favorite app is Twitterific, it’s free and is a nice way to post tweets on the go. The best part is the Safari Web Browser. You can browse the web with the tip of your finger. All the web pages are displayed, but flash isn’t. Of course you have all the standard iPod stuff like Music, Videos, Pictures, etc. And videos look and sound great on the 3.5″ screen.

Overall the iPod Touch is a great iPod, if not the best. I don’t recommend buying one just yet because Apple will probably upgrade it on the 9th. The price will drop as well. I give it 5 stars out of 5. Thanks for reading.

September 9th 2008.

Hey Guys , It’s Mitch ,

So , This coming Apple Event is being held on September 9th in San Francisco , California. Rumors and speculations are that the entire iPod line up is set to change , Yes , including : iPod Nano’s , iPod Classics And of course , The iPod touch . Last years event saw the coming of the 3rd Generation iPod Nano which amazed people , As it was so small , yet allowed video playback . Rumors and some pictures have told us that the new nano’s will have a curved body and again , is tall ,like the older nano’s .

The rest of the iPods (Video and Classic) Won’t be edited much , Most likely new colours for the video and classic , Bigger memory , Maybe a memory card slot for expansion . and hopefully longer battery life (A feature that lets most of the iPods down). As for the iPod touch . It’s said that the design is going to change , to separate itself from the ever increasing iPhone. Maybe also a possibility of a White iPod touch ? .

Another thing a lot of people would like to see change , though it is not certain , Is the Macbook’s. people are hoping to see a new design . I think the one now is a great design . but it’s been around since May 2006. rumors include a design similar to the Macbook Air , for the Macbook pro . And a black , grey and white case for the Macbook .

Personally , i can’t wait to see how things turn out. But remember , These are only Rumors , nothing is true and nothing is false. I’ll be keeping up with things as they come along . so far there is only 5 days until the event. Every Apple fan will be dying to see what changes are made on Tuesday

Thanks for reading ,
Mitch.

Twitter

Posted by Admin on September 3, 2008 at 15:28 pm

Twitter is a free service used to update your friends on what you are doing. You can create an account for twitter here. I got an account a couple days ago and love it. Others can follow you and receive your updates, and you can follow your friends and receive their updates.

There are a couple ways you can receive updates and post updates, one is using the web. Just sign in into your account and post from there, you will be able to see updates of the people your following but you won’t be notified when they post an update. Now the best way is using an application called twitterific, but it’s only available for Mac. It’s a desktop application so when a friend you’re following posts an update you will be notified by a sound and a little window. If you don’t have a Mac, there is one more way and it’s using the iPhone/iPod Touch application twitterific. Get it form the App Store for FREE!

So, what are you waiting for? Go get a twitter account; it’s easy, free, and fast. Once you set up your account you can follow me at www.twitter.com/saltytech. Thanks for reading!
