Apple updates the iPod Shuffle

This morning on Mac Rumors there was a post about an update on the iPod Shuffle. Today Apple closed their stores and later opened with the brand new iPod Shuffle 3G in stock. The new redesign of the shuffle has no buttons, instead to control your volume and switch songs you use the new Apple headphones with the remote on the cord. There are 2 models available, both 4G but one is silver and the other one is black. Matches perfectly with the macs.
There is a new feature called “Voice Over”, with a press of a button your iPod will tell you the name of the song and the artist. Very cool feature and I would really like to see how it works.
The iPod Shuffle 3G is $79. If you want to buy the 2G Shuffle, Apple are still selling it for only $50. I would really like to buy one and play around with some of the new features. I really like the simple and clean design too.

I’m amazed Apple refreshed the iPod shuffle without any rumors going out. I like that Apple made it easier to use for the APPLE headphones, BUT, what if you wanted to use different ones? How would you control your music???
I agree, there is no way. I know many people who like to use other earphones, not the Apple ones. Not a good move…
