The Samsung Behold is a T-Mobile exclusive feature phone with a 3 in. touch screen display and a 5.0 megapixel camera with flash. The phone also features a GPS with voice

navigation, a full HTML browser, Instant Messaging (AIM, ICQ, Live, Yahoo), IMAP and POP3 e-mail, music and video playback, voice control, and more. The phone has a build in accelerometer meaning you can view photos, videos, and web pages, in landscape or portrait by simply rotating the phone. Now the keypad, you have two choices, using the portrait alphanumeric keypad or the landscape full QWERTY keypad. I have no problem typing on the Behold, it takes a little bit getting used to though.
Browser and e-mail
The browser on the the Behold is not the best, it’s very slow when opening pages on T-Mobile’s poor 3G network, e-mail is also slow when opening your inbox or a single message. However 10 e-mail providers are supported which a plus. (AIM, AOL, Yahoo, Comcast, CompuServe, Earthlink, Gmail, HotPOP, Juno, Mac)
Camera
The 5.0 megapixel camera is located on the back of the phone, it also has a flash and a vanity mirror. The camera does a great job outside but inside the photos might turn out unfocused. The Behold also records video, although it does poorly in low light conditions.
Texting and IM
Instant Messaging works great but it might be a disappointment to some because you can only have one IM app open at a time. Texting works great, you can also send photos(MMS), videos, and sound files. Like I said the keypad works great but you might need to get used to it.
Call Quality and Service
Unfortunately the call quality on the Behold is bad, it sounds very close to someone talking in a tube. This is very disappointing. I’ve been getting around 3 bars in my house with the
Behold, however with my old phone I usually had full bars.
On the front of the phone you see the 3 in. display, the speaker, and the 3 physical buttons. The send and end keys and a back button between them. On the right side of the phone we have the dedicated camera button right next to it you see the unlock button. On the left side of the phone there’s a volume rocker and underneath it we have the proprietary Samsung charge/headphones/data port. Nothing on the top and bottom of the device.
Conclusion
I think the Behold is a great cell phone, there are some let downs here and there but overall I think it’s worth it. One thing I am disappointed about is the lack of a 3.5 mm. headphone
jack, you’re stuck with the included Samsung set which in my opinion are horrible. So if you are on T-Mobile and are in the market for a new phone check out the Samsung Behold, it comes in two colors, brown and pink!

Today I am here to review an app from the App store. This app is called “myHomework”. It is quite a simple yet useful app for anyone who needs a better way to write down their homework (or unless you don’t even write it down!). myHomework allows you to create classes, set the start and end time, set the days of the week, and more. Everything is put into a simple layout that makes it look like your typing on a notepad! Also, on the icon in your iPod/iPhone’s home screen, it will show any upcoming or late assignments. You can change the icon shows in and more in the preferences. On the bottom of the screen, there are three sticky notes. One for the homework list, one for classes, and one for preferences. Each has simple interface and is easy to read.
myHomework is a GREAT app. Especially if you are a person who writes down homework but doesn’t read it. The best part is, it’s FREE!
myHomework is avalable on the app store, free, here

iLife ‘09 is a group of iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and GarageBand. Each supplies you with something for your “Life”.
iPhoto
iPhoto’s main upgrades were the new features, Faces and Places. With faces, you can click on someone’s face and it will show you all the pictures of that person. It also gives you sample pictures of that person and it asks you if it is the same person or not. Doing this makes faces recognize people even better. Places allows you to use the geotagging feature in the newer cameras (like the iPhone). When you import photos into iPhoto ‘09, you can click on Places and it will show you a map of where pictures were taken. If your camera doesn’t have a geotagging chip, you can buy one or put in the location manually. iPhoto ‘09 also lets you upload photos to Facebook and Flickr.
iMovie
iMovie ‘09 is a huge fix up compared to iMovie ‘08. As most people know, iMovie ‘08 was a failure. The new 2009 version has fixed tons of the things 2008 left out. This includes titles, transitions, stability, etc. iMovie ‘09 comes with a new feature, themes. Themes automatically pics transitions titles for your film, depending on the one you choose. A couple other new features include video stabilization, green screen, and the precision editor. The precision editor lets you go in-depth and make clips change right when you want them to. You can also make audio overlap into the next clip.
GarageBand
The main new feature in GarageBand ‘09 is the Music Lessons. This feature enables you to learn to play the piano or guitar. The nice thing about theese lessons is that you can move at your own pace or go back and review a previous one. The lessons also come with a lessons store, which allows you to download more lessons & songs, both free and priced. GarageBand ‘09 also has new effects and a HUGE interface remake.
iWeb
The ‘09 version of iWeb comes with a couple new features, including 2 new themes. One new feature is that you can post updates on Facebook when you publish changes to your site. One major new feature is the Media browser. The media browser now has the widgets tab for adding things. Some new widgets include RSS Feed, iSight Photo/Movie, and Countdowns. iWeb also has a new page for site info, instead of the info tab in the inspector. Another new feature is that you can upload sites via FTP. Finally, you can publish one site at a time, which is helpful if you don’t want to publish them all at the same time.
iDVD
iDVD did not get updated with iLife ‘09.
Things I Dislike/Missing Features
iWeb iWeb still doesn’t have support for other hit counters, like Google Analytics. GarageBand I think the interface was changed too much; it requires a better computer to run smoothly. iDVD I think Apple should of put some more effort into making a new version.

The Gorillapod by Joby is a revolutionary tripod. To me it’s more than a tripod. Each piece rotates 360 degrees, this makes the tripod extremely flexible and it is able to wrap around anything. The original Gorillapod is small and very portable, it easily fits in your pocket or camera bag. It is also very light so it won’t add a lot of weight to your bag. The SLR version is bigger and stronger, it is meant to hold heavier cameras and camcorders. There is also the SLR Zoom which is for SLR cameras with large lenses.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Intended for: Compact digital cameras
Max weight load: 325g (11.5 oz)
Adapter: Universal 1Ž4-in tripod screw
Size: 150 x 30 x 30mm (5.9 x 1.2 x 1.2″)
Weight: 46g (1.6 oz)
Habitat: Anywhere!
The original Gorillapod can support up to 325g. (11.5oz.), it is meant for compact digital cameras that don’t weigh a lot. If your camera weighs more then you can take a look at the SLR version which supports up to 800g. (1.75lbs.). And if you have one of those massive lenses that way a ton, then the SLR- Zoom is right for you. It supports up to 3,000g. (6.6lbs.). So whatever camera you have there is a Gorillapod for you!
To mount a camera on to the tripod simply unlock it by sliding the unlock switch to the left, then push the button and slide out the clip. Then simply attach your camera with the standard tripod mount, put the clip back in and lock the clip. The clip has a coat of rubber so you don’t scratch the bottom of the camera. Here are a few pictures:

You can use this tripod at your desk to record YouTube videos, but it’s made for the outdoors because of it’s ability to wrap around most objects. From a tree to a pole to a rock. it’s rubber feet and rubber rings around it help the tripod grip really well. If you would like to take a group photo and you want to be in the picture, then just pull out your Gorillapod attach it to a nearby tree, set the timer and wait for the flash to go off. It’s that easy!
There are also a few accessories for the tripod. You can buy extra clips to attach to multiple cameras (This makes switching between cameras really easy), there is also a Suction Cup which they say it’s a mount that holds most mobile phones and portable media devices. I have not tried this, but to me it looks like it makes your original Gorillapod into a Gorillapod Go-Go. Which is an Original Gorillapod with two adhesive clips and a suction cup so you can attach other mini-electronic devices.

Overall, this is a great tripod for anyone who likes to take photos on the go and a must have accessory for any photographer. I really like the tripod and would recommend you give it a try if you need a portable tripod that can be attached anywhere. The original Gorillapod is available in 7 different colors, Gray, Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Orange and Yellow, and is available now from joby.com for $24.95. Thanks a lot Joby for sending me this product, be sure to check them out at joby.com and take a look at their other products!

Teamviewer is desktop sharing program, which is free of charge for non commercial use. Basically you download the program onto the computer that you are connecting to and the computer you are connecting from and then exchange ID’s and passwords, you have the option to make your own password or use a pre generated one.
The program allows you to connect to any computer in the world that has Teamviewer installed on it; of course you need to know their ID and password to connect. You can transfer files from one computer to the other and take full control over the desktop. You can also switch sides from controlling a computer to being controlled. There is also a chat, so you can chat with the person if you are helping them with something.

This software is very useful for presentations, the person presenting has control over the desktop while the ones watching can just watch and chat. The interface of the program is very easy to use too, all the options are located at the top of the window, in the window is where you view the persons desktop, watch a presentation and what not, basically it’s like running a virtual machine.
Teamviewer is available for Mac OSX and Windows, so give it a try if you need a desktop sharing program. I have tried a couple other desktop sharing programs, but this one is my favorite so far. It is easy to use and gets the job done! My e-mail is contact@saltytech.com. If you need any help setting up the program e-mail me and I will try to help you out the best I can.

As some of you might know from my twitter posts, I got an iPod Touch. As soon as I got home I installed the 2.0.2 software update, and bought some great apps from the App Store. After 3 days of use I decided to do a review on it, so here we go.
The iPod Touch is a great device; it features a 3.5″ multi-touch screen, Wi-Fi, and now many great apps. I will start with the design, absolutely great. This thing is so thin for what it can do, I like the fact than there are only 2 buttons, and the rest is a touch screen. One thing I don’t like is the back; I mean it looks cool but scratches easily. Overall the design is great. Now the apps, as many of you know the App Store launched along with the 2.0 software update for iPhone and iPod Touch, there are many free apps and many paid apps. The basic ones like Mail, Google Maps, Notes, Clock, Calendar, Contacts, You Tube, etc. come with every iPod and can’t be removed. My personal favorite app is Twitterific, it’s free and is a nice way to post tweets on the go. The best part is the Safari Web Browser. You can browse the web with the tip of your finger. All the web pages are displayed, but flash isn’t. Of course you have all the standard iPod stuff like Music, Videos, Pictures, etc. And videos look and sound great on the 3.5″ screen.
Overall the iPod Touch is a great iPod, if not the best. I don’t recommend buying one just yet because Apple will probably upgrade it on the 9th. The price will drop as well. I give it 5 stars out of 5. Thanks for reading.
