Today Ryan Block and Peter Rojas launched gdgt! So what is gdgt? Well think of it like a social network, a forum, and a gadget blog in one. But the user can view a huge list of gadgets and add them to their “own”, “want”, or “had” list. If a gadget you own is not in the database you can add it by filling out a simple form with information about the gadget. You can view specs of the gadgets, discuss them in the forums, read or write reviews, and compare prices.  There aren’t many sites like this which is why the site is so unique. I really like the idea and have already registered an account. The site has been hammered with traffic so it’s been crashing all day, so if you can go register here.

You may or may not have heard about this website but it is a great website that offers a ton of lessons on programing, and best of all the lessons are FREE! If you are new to coding and want to learn how to code in a certain language then check out W3 Schools. You might want to make a website yourself but don’t know how, they have many lessons on different coding languages. Even if you know HTML and CSS you might want to learn PHP or JavaScript to expand how you can develop websites.

Once you read the whole lesson you can take a short 20 question quiz to test your knowledge and see what you still need to work on.

This is a popular website but I had no clue it existed until I was interested in learning CSS. I have a basic understanding of CSS but want to learn how to code it, not use software like Dreamweaver to do the coding for me. The site has really helped me so I wanted to share it with everybody and maybe it will help you!

Here is a list of the programing languages they have lessons on:

1. HTML

2. CSS

3. XML

4. JavaScript

5. ASP

6. PHP

7. SQL

8. ASP.NET

And many more that i don’t have room to list, but you can take a look at all the other great tutorials they have at w3schools.com
